Black literature in America remains essential to the authenticity of our culture and the foundation on which our stories are told. Our experiences are often illuminated through books, for the betterment and motivation of those who need it and live it each day. With this information in mind, how do we explain the serious lack of public awareness surrounding Black literature and Black owned publishing companies across the country?

Robin Chappell is an independent author whom founded and launched Write Away Publishing Company in 2021, following the pandemic, with the passionate dedication of pushing stories from the Black community to higher heights and increasing literary revenue. Write Away Publishing Company is fresh, innovative, and focused on assisting both aspiring and seasoned Black authors with becoming successfully published.
